Unforgettable trip to Marrakech for Loli and Rodney

Few weeks after their victory of the 2018 EGERI edition, Loli and Rodney flew to the worm Moroccan sand, Marrakech. A journey rich in emotions where they could realize their professional portfolio in paradisiac conditions. Back on this exceptional trip that our winners won’t forget for sure.

If the EGERI TOUR 2017 edition was marked by the trip to New York won by our two winners Romane and Victor, this year our team flew to meet the hot Moroccan sand with our two winners Loli and Rodney.

As soon as we reach the Marrakech airport at the end of the afternoon, our two winners are taken care of by the EGERI team and head towards the Palmeraie Palace, where they will stay for a few days, a true jewel of softness mixing Orientalism. and garden of Eden. After settling down, they try on outfits before being invited to enjoy a dinner of Moroccan gastronomy.

From the Agafay stone desert to the souk of Marrakech

The next morning, Loli and Rodney have an appointment to try several outfits of our brand partner Virus and make photo shoots and videos. The day continues towards the Scarabéo Camp, about forty kilometers from Marrakech, nestled in the small stone desert of Agafay. It is in this unusual camp that our two winners start a shooting rhythmic warm colors and meetings with some Moroccan camels. Time to take a rather successful selfie with our sand-colored friends and our team heads to the Max and Jan boutique (@maxandjan), a real concept store in the heart of the Medina. This must-have Moroccan brand stands out by offering “made in Morocco”, resolutely urban style, ethnic collections. Max and Jan make a point of keeping his Eastern footprint. After spotting some outfits the team decides to come back the next day for fitting.

To pass in the souk of Marrakech without stopping to taste typical dishes would be a crime, our team agrees a break, the bellies are delighted. The day continues with a surprise: the visit of the Agafay desert to ride the quad until the night.

Discover the treasures of the “Pearl of the South”

The next day our team prepares for the hotel before leaving to visit the Palmeraie. Second surprise and not least: a camel ride followed by a photo shoot.

If Chefchaouen is nicknamed the blue city, Marrakech is called the red city, the muse of our famous designer Yves Saint Laurent who, in addition to finding his inspiration found peace. The passage to the Saint Laurent House and its famous Majorelle Garden is inevitable. Between Moorish style and Art Deco dominated by the intense blue of the Atlas, Loli and Rodney pose in the middle of shaded alleys.

After having lunch in a small restaurant in Jama El Fna Square, our winners discover a second part of the Medina in the afternoon. At the heart of the “Pearl of the South” are treasures for the eyes and the camera. Between alleys and traditional shops, our team makes the discovery of Riad Kasbah who accepts to receive our winners the next day for a new shoot. The day ends with dinner at the hotel and bowling, Rodney wins.

Shooting paradisiaque dans un Riad au coeur de la Médina

Shooting in a Riad in the heart of the Medina

The next day our team arrives early to pick up the outfits at Max and Jan to start a shooting at Riad Kasbah (@riad_kasbah) nestled in the heart of the Medina. As the name suggests it feels almost at home. Warm colors adorn the walls, an oriental pool dominates the middle of the building with some rattan chairs and dim lights. The atmosphere is there, the shooting begins and continues in the serenity of the place. It is with emotion that the mother of Loli discovers for the first time her daughter in front of the camera. The day ends with a tea and a meal concocted carefully in front of the pool of the Riad. To say that the welcome was warm would be less, Riad Kasbah welcomes you as if you were part of the family.

Our trip to Marrakech ends for Loli and Rodney, November 18th, 2018, with a return to Paris not rainy but filled with this experience, between the ocher tones of the imposing ramparts of the Red City, they are not ready forget.
